Your appreciation of our featured Cuban artwork will be greatly enhanced by viewing this 43-minute Documentary.  It is the first documentary to focus exclusively on the art and artists from Cuba’s easternmost region, the provinces of Oriente. The viewer will be introduced to the most highly acclaimed artists of this culturally rich region through studio visits and interviews in city and countryside locations. These artists span generations and share a unique ability of expressing both the social issues of the Cuban people and the intoxicating beauty of their tropical homeland. The artists discuss, on a very personal level, their passion for their work, as well as their inspiration, and philosophical artistic outlook. Mailing List

The documentary is in Spanish with English
subtitles so the viewer may truly feel the emotion and spirit of each individual.  Especially compelling is the presence of Antonio Ferrer Cabello, the 93 year old Maestro, and former director of the
Bacardí Museum, as he speaks about the city he loves and its’ “Luminous Shadows”!
